Name:
awhitemothflew
Birthdate:
18 September 1985
Website:
my name is Kathleen.

i live on Long Island.

i sew, i write poetry and every once in a blue moon make some bad artwork. i'm on deviantart.com (thecheshirekat), facebook, twitter (same as my LJ name); if you want to find me on other websites drop me a line.
i'm an unemployed college dropout with delusions of adequacy and fantasies of failure. since i love to sew so much that's what i'm doing... we'll see how it works out. the only things i really want out of life are 1)to express myself 2)to start a family with Brian 3)not to be a total disappointment to the people i care about. everything else can go suck it.

i have always been odd. i am a girl who reads comic books (and got stared at by all the boys when i used to visit my local comic shop in high school); i'm a straight-edge, self-conscious, vanilla hippie; i live on long island and am not rich or snotty (actually a lot of us long islanders are poor... who are the rich gonna opress if there's no poor people, huh?); i make funny noises when poked or tickled. i spent 75% of my formative years with my nose buried in a book. sometimes when i was a very small girl, i would get up in the middle of the night and sit in the darkened kitchen next to the 'fridge, frightening and then worrying anyone who came for a midnight snack and saw the light reflecting off the glasses i used to wear.

if anyone asks, i identify myself as pagan, because that's the best word for what i am. i burn candles anointed with oils, believe in reincarnation, carry stones in a pouch around my neck, and other hippy-dippy type stuff. i'm a do-it-yourself-er when it comes to spirituality.

things to know:
i'm a total geek.
i occasionally make icons.
i support gay marriage/rights/etc.
i am trying to do my part to save mama earth.
i enjoy sewing & reconstructed clothing (tryin'a make a livin' at it).
i don't capitalize unless i feel like it. (rock on e. e. cummings)
and i curse like a sailor.

ps: i'm a fat chick, and my boyfriend is fat, and a lot of my friends and family are fat. so don't go fat-hatin'. \m/ fat powah!
